Each October we take the time to discuss, review and model with our students what the word bully means, what it means to be a bully and what it means to stand up for yourself and others.
I found this visual that I thought explains different scenarios quite well for our students at this level. Please take a moment to review it with your child. A copy will be made available for each classroom at Craddock.
Often the students will report a situation as bullying but in reality it was just a not nice friend choice or something happened, there was an apology and everyone was safe. This is why it is imperative that we have these conversations with our students and everyone understands the terms.
We have a few programs planned in both buildings this month to help support our students with the choices they make while bringing an awareness to how we treat others......and how others treat us.
Later in the month, we will be having a special program for all of the students about Sticking Together! (Stay tuned for information about it)
