The Bully Busters visit Miller and Craddock................

October is National Bully Prevention Month. Throughout the school year, we have ongoing conversations at Miller and Craddock about what is a not nice friend choice vs. what is bullying with all students. So during October, we often spend a little more time on the subject, which is why you will see we have weekly themes this year, along with special book selections to share with the students on the topic of bully prevention. The Bully Busters will also make an appearance (or two) to help support and reinforce the messages of Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be a Problem Solver with how we treat others and our actions.

When adults respond quickly and consistently to bullying behavior they send the message that it is not acceptable. Research shows this can stop bullying behavior over time. Parents, school staff, and other adults in the community can help kids prevent bullying by talking about it, building a safe school environment, and creating a culture which includes being kind.
