During our lesson, we enjoyed the book, Peace Week in Miss Fox's Class together.
We talked about the following vocabulary they would hear in the story before we read it:
quarrel - disagreeing or arguing
squabbling - disagreeing or arguing
grump or grumpy - not happy
peace - being calm, being nice, being helpful, being respectful
design - creating something
scamper - walk away quickly
shocked - surprised
fetch - being in charge of getting something
We then brainstormed together why it might be important to have 'peace' in our classroom and the students created a paper to share at home. Please be sure to ask them to share it with you!
