Our brains like when we are nice to others.
When we are nice to others or do nice things for them, our brains reward us with nice feelings of our own!
Together we completed the following activity:
Students worked in small groups and talked about or shared the following with one another:
1.) What kindness means to you
2.) What empathy means to you
3.) What compassion means to you
They talked about specific examples of each and how it felt when they either showed someone one of the above or it was shown to them.
The two parts of my brain that work together to help me feel kindness, empathy and compassion are the Prefrontal Cortex and the Amygdala!
