1st and 2 grade students are enjoying the book, Only One You, during class lessons. It is a great opportunity to talk about being unique, special, different and able to do anything you put your mind to ~ making the world a better place!!
At the end of last school year, I went to Ms. Hickey and told her I would LOVE to collaborate on a lesson using this great book............here she had just purchased the book and wanted to use it, too! Great minds!
My original idea was to have each student create a rock for a rock garden at CES, but after talking to Mrs. Troman, our idea has changed! I shared it with the students and they are VERY excited!!!
We are going to still have the students create a rock, but we are going to add information to the back about a social media page that we are going to create entitled Craddock Rocks.......on this page, people are going to be able to post photos of themselves with the rocks that they find that were hidden by our students!!
Stay tuned for more information on this project. I most likely will need help adhering our information to the back of each rock.
