Kindness lesson in Kindergarten ~

We started with a smooth heart after reading and discussing the book 'HeartPrints'.  We talked about being kind to others and how it leaves a 'print' on our hearts and those that we are nice, too. Things like sharing, using nice words, asking others to play, having a safe body, listening and following directions help to leave a 'print' on our hearts!

We then talked about things that may be unkind that we might do or say, and how that might feel.  As the students shared their ideas, I 'wrinkled' the heart. We discussed that it is our responsibility to be kind to others and leave 'heartprints' and not wrinkles on the hearts of others.

Germ experiment...........

I did an experiment to help show the kids how quickly germs can spread from our hands to other items........and why it is so very important ...
