Since October is National Bully Prevention Month, the Bully Busters made a visit to Craddock and Miller to spend some time with the students.
At Craddock, the students enjoyed the story 'Howard Wigglebottom Learns About Bullies' shared by BBG (Bully Buster Green), while BBP (Bully Buster Pink) reviewed what we should do if someone is bothering us. The students know how to be great problem solvers by using their words to tell others to stop doing something that may be bothering them, and then to get help from an adult if that doesn't work.
Howard taught us a new school motto:
Be Brave
Be Bold
A teacher must be told!

We also enjoyed the following video about RESPECT together:
At Miller, the students enjoyed the story 'Billy the Bully, A School- Yard Counting Tale' shared by Bully Buster Minrovic, while Bully Buster Mazzella discussed the steps we should follow when someone bothers us . . . 1.) Use our words to tell them to stop or please leave us alone and if that doesn't work, 2.) Get help from an adult.
(If you’re happy and you know it)
*words compliments of Ms. Mary Jane Jones*
If you want to stop a bully, clap your hands 2X
If you want to stop a bully and you know what to do,
If you want to stop a bully, clap your hands.
If you’ll stand up for your friend, stomp your feet 2X
If you’ll stand up for your friend and help bullying to end,
If you’ll stand up for your friend, stomp your feet.
If you’re happy with yourself, lend a hand (put hand forward) 2X
If you’re happy with yourself and can give others help,
If you’re happy with yourself, lend a hand
We also sang the following song with the students at Miller:
