CES ~ Lesson 2 - Learning about our brains and our senses........


Mindful Awareness happens when we give our brains time to respond (think) to what we see and hear
Think about a time you’ve been angry and you’ve counted to 10……by the time we get to 10, we usually feel better ~ we just gave our brain some time to respond
What do you think is happening in your brain when we give it time to respond (think)?

Be sure to ask your child about the LISTENING AND FEELING activities we did together during our lesson this week.

     Being MINDFUL takes a lot of practice
Let’s start with THINKING before we SPEAK
Take a deep breath and count when you get upset
Be calm and LISTEN
Pay attention and focus on the TASTE of foods
Pay attention and focus on what you SEE and SMELL
Think about what you FEEL with your hands
