It is a beautiful thing when my lessons turn into a class project...........
after my lessons on acts of kindness and filling buckets, the students in Miss McArthur's 1st grade class decided they wanted to do something special for others this holiday season. So after some brainstorming, they came up with 'Donate December'.
The students and their families donated items such as board games, food, socks, slippers, clothes, books, money, etc. which filled their box(in the pictures below). Miss McArthur contacted the Volunteers of America in Aurora and a representative is coming Friday to pick up all of the donated supplies.
The students are so excited to be helping others. What BIG hearts they have.......I am so blessed to work in the Aurora Community!
