The week of February 17-21 is National Random Acts of Kindness Week.
Some of the classrooms invited me in to read a book and talk with the students. The book I chose is I AM LOVE by Susan Verde and illustrated by Peter Reynolds.
We talked about what the word RANDOM means.......something unexpected; doing something for someone just because; not expecting anything back; being nice; choosing to do something ~ (definitions given by 1st and 2nd graders!)
Many of the students shared ideas that their families already do for one another (and others) that are random acts of kindness!
The students were excited to see yoga poses or information at the back of the book! I promised them I would put them on the blog.
