As I was teaching a lesson on Friday, February 22nd on kindness, empathy and compassion, Mateo Hernandez (a 2nd grader) left an incredible impression on me with his words..............
"We may not all have big bodies, but we all have a big heart."
"Not everybody is the same and we should all have compassion for everybody. It doesn't matter what the skin color is, the hair color, or even if they have disabilities."
