Friday, September 12th was the grand opening of the Miller and Craddock School Stores
. . . and it was a HUGE success!!! As we visited each classroom, many of the teachers even made our visit into a Math review by discussing how much money they had to spend and how much our items cost today ~ it was a fun learning experience!
Our students are earning Miller Money and Craddock Cash as part of our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) Program in both buildings.
In each building across the district, we are concentrating on three big ideas and incorporating them into our daily lessons and expectations:
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be a Problem Solver
The students were very excited today and could hardly contain their excitement as we visited their rooms. The store will be open twice a month ~ 1 session will allow the students to purchase small trinkets and the other session will allow them to purchase privileges such as lunch with the principal, wear a hat day, pick your seat in the room, sit in the teacher's chair, read to another class, etc.
Please be sure to ask your child about their experiences. If you have questions, please be sure to ask one of our staff members!

| After each purchase, their money calendar was stamped PAID just like at the bank so we can keep track of how much money they have to spend each time! |

| Some students decided to save their money until the next school store session in two weeks! |
