Right to Read Week
March 4-8, 2013
"Reading Gives You Superpowers!"
March 4th - 8th Craddock will celebrate Right to Read Week, and
celebrate what our superpowers are.
When you read, you uses your imagination. When you read,
you learn more. When you read, you have the superpower to go somewhere else, be
someone else, and do things you never knew you could do!
What is your superpower?
Craddock is asking that each student wear a cape during silent reading time during Right to Read week. Students were given directions on how to turn an old t-shirt into a cape, without any sewing.

Turn a t-shirt into a cape:
After
turning your shirt into a cape please feel free to decorate it with your child's
superpower. Are they good at a sport? If so, you could add a baseball, or
soccer ball to the cape with felt and hot glue. Are they a great reader? If
so, you could draw a book on the cape with a sharpie marker. Are they good a
magic tricks? If so, you could use puffy paint and paint on a black hat and
magic wand.
Be as creative, or simple as you wish!
