Lessons on bully prevention . . .

Our Miller Students enjoyed the following books and video on the subject of bully prevention:
 
"Franklin is Bossy"
"Chester and the Big Bad Bully"
 
Craddock  1st Grade Students are enjoying the following book and videos on bully prevention, as well as reviewing what the terms bully, victim and bystander/helper mean:
 

"Stop Picking on Me"
 
Craddock  2nd Grade Students are enjoying the following book and videos on bully prevention, as well as reviewing what the terms bully, victim and bystander/helper mean:
 
"Bully Blockers Club"


Thanks to a grant from the Ohio School Counseling Association, Craddock & Miller will enjoy a bully prevention assembly in February given by Mr. Mark Wade.  First & Second Graders are also making their own 'Bully Beans' out of glass stones once we read the book "Bully B.E.A.N.S." together. The word beans stands for 'bullies everywhere are now stopped.' 
Be Sure to ask your child about our activities together!
 
 
All students were reminded of the steps to take if someone is bothering them . . . use their words to tell them to stop and if it continues to happen, make sure they tell an adult.
