A 2012 National Exemplary Bully Prevention Program Award goes to . . .

Craddock Elementary!!
We are so excited to announce that Miller & Craddock's work in bully prevention has been nationally recognized by the School Safety Advocacy Council! On February 15th, Ms. Mazzella received the award for our schools.
Our application was 1 of 90 submitted and the judges were impressed with our early intervention/prevention attention we give to the subject matter, along with the school climate/culture and parent support that is present in our schools!  There were 13 awards given to schools from the following states: Florida, Wisconsin, Alabama, Texas, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and of course, Ohio; there was also a school in Canada recognized.  We were only 1 of 2 elementary schools to receive this prestigious honor!
The application included our PBS school-wide behavior programs (in both buildings), our Bucket Filling Programs (in both buildings), the data collected in 1st & 2nd grades last year during our bullying lessons & how we utilized the clickers (Audience Response Systems), pictures of the Bully Busters, our FISH! Philosophy and information pertaining to the reports coming in from parents as to what the students share at home.
